Sarah Quintana Trio

Good Measure 600 Carondelet St, New Orleans
Throughout a notable career as a New Orleans singer, songwriter and performer, Sarah Quintana has been firmly rooted in her hometown's rich music tradition — but eager to explore its boundaries. Born and raised in New Orleans— Quintana is Nola-Cajun, she sings in French and English — and her latest album, BABY DON'T, was inspired by memories of falling asleep listening to New Orleans oldies on the radio. Glide Magazine calls her music a "classic New Orleans R&B sound with a modern pop sensibility." In between the Jazz Fest Lagniappe Stage in May and the Library of Congress this September, Quintana performs with her sousaphone trio at Good Measure, featuring BABY DON'T bandmate Jason Jurzak on tuba and Michael Lentz on percussion. Expect swamp-pop covers, Frenchy-blues and highly-addictive, upbeat originals... plus a standard or two.
