Prolific across a wide swath of sonic topography, Detroit-raised, New Orleans-based musician Ari Teitel keeps many hot irons in his creative fire. A soulful expressionist, Ari’s guitar styles incorporate foundational influences R&B, funk, gospel, jazz, hip-hop, blues, and psychedelic rock, a greasy gumbo that coalesces with many multi-hued endeavors. A co-founder of premiere Mardi Gras Indian Funk band The Rumble feat. Chief Joseph Boudreaux, they released debut studio LP Stories From the Battlefield in 2024, and were swiftly GRAMMY nominated for the second straight year. The versatile 30-year old guitarist was recently drafted into Dumpstaphunk, the mighty Crescent City institution founded by Ivan Neville, a NOLA icon with whom Teitel has performed extensively. In May 2025, Teitel released an LP titled Another Side of The Sound with drummer Adam Deitch (Lettuce, John Scofield) and organ master Sam Fribush (Hiss Golden Messenger) to wide acclaim. D.V.S. brings together three titans of New Orleans music: vibraphonist and percussionist Mike Dillon, drummer Johnny Vidacovich, and bassist James Singleton. Widely considered one of New Orleans' greatest rhythm sections, Vidacovich and Singleton have been the backbone of Astral Project since its inception. Dillon, a genre-defying percussionist known for his work in Garage a Trois and The Dead Kenny G's, has spent over two decades sharing stages with the pair. The trio released their debut album, Bones, in 2013, and their rare reunions remain among the most anticipated shows in the city's creative music scene.

She has since relocated to New Orleans to develop her solo work, releasing the 2023 record I Guess It's Just Me Now. A featured performer at the BlackAmericana Fest alongside Joy Clark, Leyla McCalla, and Mia Borders, she occupies a distinct space in the city's growing Americana scene.
Trumpeter, vocalist, and bandleader Aurelien Barnes represents a new generation of New Orleans musicians carrying the city's brass and jazz traditions forward while expanding their reach. The son of Bruce "Sunpie" Barnes, he grew up immersed in blues, zydeco, and Afro-Caribbean music, an upbringing that shaped both his versatility and his instinct for cross-cultural musical conversation.
Mentored from an early age by some of the city's most respected voices, including Leroy Jones, Gregg Stafford, and the Treme Brass Band, Barnes has performed as a featured artist with the Preservation Hall All Stars, and has gone on to work with Grammy-nominated ensembles Cha Wa and the Rumble, as well as the Palmetto Bug Stompers and Kings of Brass. His collaborations span a wide range of artists and genres, including Nicholas Payton, Solange, Dr. John, and Carlos Vives.
A Tulane graduate fluent in French, Spanish, and Portuguese, Barnes brings an international perspective to a distinctly New Orleans sound, rooted in tradition, open to the world.
